This is the glorious staging area for the Tour of Tamworth. The little Memorial Hall on the left housed the results area, tour map, etc. and the canteen. The finish line was right on this road heading straight up towards the Memorial Hall and church, maybe just 25 yards back out of the picture. There were two stages on Sat (60 and 80k respectively) and a 120k stage on Sunday. Haydn won both stages on Saturday! He killed 'em. A two second gap in the first race, and a five second gap in the second. He got second on Sunday and second overall. He was a bit disappointed as he only lost the overall by 12 seconds, but he rode really well and he beat the overall winner in prize money, so there! :)
