Haydn and I drove down to Victoria for the Tour of Wangaratta. Lyn and Bill live in Wangaratta, it's a town just next to Milawa, where Haydn grew up. Haydn did so great in this race. He started in C grade but won the time trial by so much they moved him into B grade, where he won several KOM sprints, won or got second in the rest of the stages, including the criterium, and won the overall for the tour!! He came home with some nice prize money and a few bottles of wine from one of the sponsors. Not bad for a local race. The races in the Bay Area have no prize money - the winner gets a t-shirt :( I think it is a money maker for the promoter there. Anyway, it was a great weekend - lots of family QT.
